I have had the pleasure of sampling Lee’s 421 Slow Rub recently. I made a drunk chicken. My method was to marinate the whole chicken in beer (use your favorite beer for this), then coat the chicken with Lee’s 421 Slow Rub and let it sit for about 3 hours before inserting a can of beer (you know where) and cooking the chicken on my pit using indirect heat.

I was impressed with all the complex flavors going on with this rub: bits of onion, garlic, peppers, and all the other seasoning flavors. This was one of the very best chickens I have ever had coming off my pit.

The drunk chicken was so good that the next weekend I used Lee’s 421 Slow Rub to season meat loaf that I smoked on my pit. It was outstanding, in fact it was so good I shared it with a couple of friends. They loved it so much I spent the next day making 4 more smoked meat loaves for them.

Lee, you have one hell of a rub there! I expect that you will do very well with it.

Best of luck,

– Ron Taylor, Retired Executive Chef (New Orleans, LA)

Thanks for walking over to our tailgate to bring our order of Screaming Cock Bloody Mary Mix and 421 Rub. I made a big pot of okra and tomatoes today and seasoned it with the 421 Slow Rub. It's delicious!!! We look forward to spreading the word about your great products!

I bought a bottle of your 421 Slow Rub from Dave’s about a month ago and I've used almost a half a bottle already. My father was a Lawry’s man and I followed suit. I never found anything I liked better. If he were here he would do the same thing I have – give up the Lawry’s for your 421 Slow Rub. Anna and I are in love with it. We put it on everything we cook, from chicken to collards. You are a genius!

I just wanted to let you know your rub is amazing!!!! I had the pleasure of tasting your delectable dishes while visiting Aiken and attending the Celebrity was a treat!!!

I wish you great luck and success....please look for my order. I can only hope I will be able to find your products in every grocery store and gift shop across the U.S.

Again...good luck,
